Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Sports Terminal ("we," "us," or the "Site") handles information when you visit thesportsterminal.com. It also covers nflterminal.com, profootballterminal.com, cfbterminal.com, and ctespn.com, which redirect to it. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Most of the Site needs no account. Our stats, projections, draft board, and other tools are open to browse, and we do not ask you to identify yourself to use them. For those pages we collect only:

• Usage and device data collected automatically by our servers and infrastructure providers — such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps — used for security, diagnostics, and aggregate analytics.
• Cookies and similar technologies, as described below.

If you choose to create an account — which today is only needed for the fantasy "My Team" features — we additionally store your email address, an optional display name, and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account identifier. We do not collect a payment method, a phone number, or a postal address.

Sign in with Google

If you sign in with Google, Google sends us a signed token which we verify with Google. From it we receive and store:

• your email address (we require that Google has verified it);
• your Google account identifier (the sub claim), so we can recognise you on your next sign-in;
• your name, if Google provides one, used only as a display name.

We never receive or store your Google password, and we do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, calendar, or any other Google service. We use this data only to identify your account on this Site. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share or sell it. You can revoke our access at any time in your Google account permissions.

Fantasy leagues you connect or enter

The fantasy features overlay our projections onto your team, so if you connect or enter a league we store what is needed to do that:

• the platform, league identifier, season, and league name, plus the league's scoring rules and roster slots, so we can score players by your league's rules rather than a generic default;
• which team in the league is yours;
• for leagues you enter manually, the list of players you provide — and, if you add other teams in your league, their team labels and rosters as you enter them.

For platforms with a public API (currently Sleeper), we read your league through that public API and do not store platform credentials. When you connect a league, we send that platform the league or username you gave us in order to look it up. Disconnecting a league deletes the league data we stored for it.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our service providers use cookies to operate the Site, remember preferences, measure usage, and (where applicable) serve advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; some features may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.

If you sign in, we set one session cookie. It is HttpOnly (not readable by scripts), SameSite=Lax, sent only over HTTPS, and expires after 30 days. It identifies your session and nothing else — it carries no advertising or tracking value. Signing out revokes that session on our server, not just in your browser.

Advertising

We may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. These vendors use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Account data — including anything we receive from Sign in with Google, and your league data — is never used for advertising and is never shared with advertising vendors.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
• For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we present a consent notice and set advertising and analytics cookies according to your choices.

How we use information

We use the limited data above to provide and secure the Site, understand aggregate usage, improve our content and models, and (where applicable) support advertising. Account and league data is used only to operate the features you asked for. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and league data until you remove it or ask us to. Disconnecting a league deletes that league's stored data. To delete your account and everything associated with it, contact us using the details on our contact page. Expired sessions are no longer valid for sign-in.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details on our contact page.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
